Obtaining the correct music licence on-line is a simple process but all potential users of Production Music must first register with MCPS.
Registering involves reading and agreeing to our standard terms and conditions of business for the use of Production Music, the MCPS Code of Conduct. This code is primarily for Production Companies*.
Once a company or individual has signed the Code of Conduct they will be provided with a registration identity to enable them to approach and request copies of Production Music recordings from any Production Music Library which is an MCPS member.
The Code of Conduct defines the terms upon which the recording of Production Music may be carried out and the procedure for licence application. In doing so the provision of the Code attempt, as far as possible, not to unduly impede the flow of your business, whilst ensuring that the rights of the Production Music Libraries are adequately protected.
